On his Instagram profile, Bushido announced that he would end his career after a tour in early 2026. “After that, there will be no more music, no performances, probably no interviews either. I’m retiring and thanking everyone for a wonderful time,” said the German rapper.
“28 years of career and I think it’s time to say goodbye,” says Bushido in the video. The musician has been a big name in the rap business since the 1990s, and rose to mainstream stardom in the early 2000s. Awards, public feuds and scandals followed. The awarding of the Integration Bambi to Bushido in 2011 was particularly harshly criticized. He now lives in Dubai with his wife Anna-Maria Ferchichi and their seven children.
