The son of painter and director Julian Schnabel has a reputation for preferring partners who are older than him. But now Schnabel has married a much younger woman. He married his girlfriend Helena Althof in New York.
The 21-year-old model comes from Germany and is the daughter of Peter Althof. In the 1990s, he worked as a bodyguard for stars such as Michael Jackson, Michael Schumacher and Claudia Schiffer. In 2022, he was a candidate in the RTL show “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” and took fifth place.

“I am infinitely happy and so pleased for my girl. Helena and Vito have a very special connection,” the 68-year-old told the “Bild” newspaper.
Helena Althof herself published a series of photos on her Instagram account confirming the wedding. She can be seen in a short wedding dress with a long train, and she also posted pictures of a four-tiered wedding cake – in red – and a sushi buffet. After the civil wedding, a church ceremony is to follow next year.
