Manuel Neuer has shared a holiday snapshot. In the picturesque shot, the goalkeeper is pushing a stroller in sunny climes.
Bayern star Manuel Neuer (38) has delighted his more than 13.8 million followers on Instagram. The goalkeeper of the German national football team, who was unluckily defeated by Spain in the quarter-finals of the current European Championship tournament, is apparently currently spending his free time with his wife Anika and son Luca in more southern climes. Neuer captioned the photo “Recharge”, which in German means “recharge”.
Manuel Neuer recovers after European Championship elimination
The national team goalkeeper would certainly have preferred to be in the final of the European Championship on Sunday (14 July) in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. But the tragic 2:1 defeat against the Spanish selection in Stuttgart on 5 July was, as we know, the end of the home European Championship. However, this gives the national team players the opportunity to spend time with their families and unwind on holiday before the next exhausting season begins.
Manuel Neuer and his Anika only became parents for the first time in March of this year. They have so far kept their son Luca largely out of the public eye. The baby is also not visible in Neuer’s current holiday snapshot.
On Instagram, the keeper’s fans are delighted with the private photo. “Best ever and super dad,” commented one user. “Have a good rest and your sweet little family, dear Manuel,” wrote another person. A third user simply commented: “Have a nice vacation.”
