Travis Scott loves Hamburg – but never wants to come back

After his concert at the Barclays Arena in Hamburg, rapper Travis Scott is enthusiastic about the Hanseatic city. But he doesn’t want to visit the city again – because of star airs.

Rapper Travis Scott is currently on his big “Utopia – Circus Maximus Europe” European tour. Scott, who has two children with Kylie Jenner, also stopped in Hamburg. On July 16, he played at the Barclays Arena in the Hanseatic city. The concert was sold out within seconds. And that was evidently the mood.

Travis Scott praises Hamburg fans – and complains about the city

As social media posts from the performance show, Scott, one of the most successful rappers of our time, really rocked the hall. “That was the best show ever,” Scott wrote afterwards on the short message service X, formerly Twitter. The Hamburg crowd and their atmosphere also seemed to appeal to the musician. “The fans are incredible,” wrote the 33-year-old.

But there is still one downside. Scott never wants to return to Hamburg. And after all the excitement? The reason is neither the fans nor the venue. “I will never come to Hamburg again because the people at the airport are just weird,” he writes.

Anger over night flight ban

Scott was apparently upset by the ban on night flights in Hamburg. And this doesn’t just go away for superstars. “According to our research, Travis Scott spontaneously wanted to take off later than originally planned in a private plane yesterday – but such a late departure would have violated the night flight restrictions in Hamburg. Therefore, the flight was not approved,” a spokeswoman told “Tag24”. “We can only assume that it was this noise protection measure for an airport close to the city that led to Travis Scott’s statement. But we don’t know any more details about it,” said the employee.

Between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., planes are not allowed to land or take off in Hamburg. Since the airport is located near residential areas, the law was passed to protect Hamburg residents. Travis Scott returned to the arena after being turned away at the airport. The next morning, he was able to board his private jet.
