New assignment for Elton: Stefan Raab has invented a new show in which a dozen celebrities compete against each other.
Entertainment genius Stefan Raab has invented a new Saturday night show with Elton for RTL. It will be called “Elton’s 12”. “The unique thing about the new show is that all 12 celebrity candidates have something special in common,” RTL announced on Thursday.
In a total of six editions, 12 prominent candidates compete against each other in games. “The challenges range from delicate handicrafts to tricky mental work to breathtaking sports competitions on a huge playing area,” explained an RTL spokeswoman. “Real all-rounders are needed here, not just specialists. Only the right sensitivity, the best tactics and, above all, a strong desire to play will lead to victory.”
The concept comes from Stefan Raab
Everyone who takes part has something very special in common – such as a TV format, a profession or a passion. “As a group they are connected, but in the game they are individual fighters,” says RTL.
The celebrity players duel 1 against 1 in two rounds plus a final, and only the winners move on. The best three then compete against each other in the final. Whoever wins that evening will win prize money of 100,000 euros. The new show will be commented on by Frank “Buschi” Buschmann.

According to a statement, Elton said of the idea: “This show has everything we love about action game shows. Nerve-wracking tension, sweat and pain! And the best part is, I don’t have to go through it myself – luckily I only get to host the madness.”
According to the information, production of “Elton’s 12” will start in the fall, and broadcast is planned for winter 2024/25. Elton – formerly one of ProSieben’s figureheads – can be seen in several shows on RTL this year – for example, he was hired for the entertainment format “Schlag den Besten”.
