Tickets for Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” were sold out within minutes. In Gelsenkirchen, some fans still managed to get a ticket at short notice.
The fact that Taylor Swift’s concerts in Germany sold out in a matter of minutes made headlines last year – but some fans still managed to get tickets at short notice. Before the opening concert on Wednesday, there was still a ticket booth with an evening box office on the stadium grounds in Gelsenkirchen, as a dpa reporter reported.
According to dpa information, there were still a double-digit number of tickets available for the concert. It is unclear why they appeared there and whether this also applies to Swift’s other concerts in Germany. Several “Swifties” also reported on Wednesday that they had received tickets at short notice through the fan sales service of the ticket provider Eventim. In fan groups on Facebook, tickets were also offered for sale or exchange on the day of the concert – for example due to illness.
Advance sales for Swift’s concerts in Germany started about a year ago. After two more concerts in Gelsenkirchen today and on Friday, the 34-year-old will be coming to Hamburg (July 23 and 24) and Munich (July 27 and 28).
