The untimely accidental death of Paul Walker (1973-2013) was a heavy blow for his daughter Meadow Walker (25), who was only 15 at the time. But almost eleven years after the death of the “Fast & Furious” star, there is still a close bond between Meadow and Vin Diesel (57), the other heavyweight of the iconic car racing film series. “Happy birthday, Vin Diesel,” Walker wrote, adding, “I love you so much.” She also shared a photo of herself with Diesel at the premiere of the tenth “Fast & Furious” film in Rome last year. Walker also played a small role in “Fast & Furious 10.”
Vin Diesel and Meadow Walker have been close friends since Paul Walker’s death. In 2021, the now 25-year-old referred to Diesel and his daughter Hania Riley Sinclair (16) as “family” on Instagram.
The “Fast & Furious” star himself commented on Meadow Walker’s 21st birthday on the social network: “I could say I’m so proud of the person you’re becoming… but the truth is, I’ve always been proud of you. Happy birthday, Meadow!”
Paul Walker’s tragic death
Action star Paul Walker, one of the main actors in the “Fast & Furious” film series, died on November 30, 2013 at the age of just 40 when a red Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend Roger Rodas (1975-2013) crashed into a lamppost and two trees in Santa Clarita, north of Los Angeles.
Rodas, like Walker a car enthusiast, was probably traveling at a speed of 130 to 150 kilometers per hour – when the speed limit there is 72 kilometers per hour. In addition to the excessive speed, old tires may also have played a role in the fatal crash that cost Rodas and Walker their lives. Walker was probably trapped in the burning tailcoat for some time and ultimately died from burns sustained during this time.
