Recipes: 2 cakes to share during the winter holidays

The arrival of winter and low temperatures invite us to prepare cakes and desserts sweets at home, to share with friends or family.

And the victory of the Argentina National Team At the Copa América it is a perfect excuse to prepare the “Torta Argentina”, an easy recipe with the national colors to surprise the guests.

Here are two fluffy and easy-to-make cakes with tempting ingredients.

How to prepare the Argentine Cake?

Product: Saucepan 24 cm. Savarin 24 cm Terra

Time:40′

Function: Dough oven

Servings:10 to 12

Ingredients for The Argentine Cake:

  • 4 pcs. Egg white
  • 120 ml. Sunflower oil
  • 280 gr. Sugar
  • c/n Vanilla essence
  • 170 gr. Natural yogurt
  • 300 ml. Milk
  • 350 gr. 0000 flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • ½ tsp. Baking soda
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 70 gr. Sky blue grains
  • 60 ml. Water
  • 150 gr. White chocolate
  • 80 gr. Condensed milk
  • 110 gr. Glucose
  • 110 gr. Sugar
  • 10 gr. Unflavored gelatin + 50 gr. Water
  • c/n Sky blue and white granas

Preparation of the Argentine Cake:

In a bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy, add the sugar, oil and vanilla essence, mix. Add the natural yogurt.

Add the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda, alternating with the milk until all the ingredients are combined.

Finally, add the light blue sprinkles. Pour the mixture into the Savarin. Cook in a bain-marie on low heat for 40 minutes. Remove from the mould and cover the surface with the coloured glaze and finish with sprinkles.

For the colouring, melt the glucose, condensed milk, water and sugar. Pour over the chocolate, add the colouring and gelatin hydrated in melted water.

How to prepare the 3 leches dulce de leche dessert?

Product: Casserole 28 cm. Savarin 28 cm Terra

Time:fifty’

Function: Dough oven

Servings:8

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients for the 3 milks dessert:

  • 6 pcs. Eggs
  • 80 ml. Milk
  • 110 ml. Sunflower oil
  • 300 gr. Sugar
  • 300 gr. 0000 flour
  • 1 tbsp. Baking powder
  • 3 milks:
  • 360 ml. Cream
  • 360 ml. Evaporated milk (if not available, replace with 80 gr. Powdered milk + 280 ml. Water)
  • 360 gr. Dulce de leche
  • To accompany:
  • 300 gr. Whipped cream
  • c/n Ground cinnamon

Preparation of the 3 milks dessert:

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until foamy and at the letter stage. Gradually add the oil in a thin stream and then the milk.

Finally, add the flour with circular movements together with the baking powder. Pour the mixture into the saucepan and cook at a high heat for 45 minutes. Prick the sponge cake.

Mix and pour the three milks little by little so that they absorb the mixture. Refrigerate for a few hours. Unmold and serve with whipped cream and cinnamon.
