“Tears not yet dried”: Guido Maria Kretschmer loses dog again

Fashion designer Guido Maria Kretschmer (59) is currently going through difficult times. On July 10, the “Shopping Queen” star and her husband Frank Mutters (69) had to cope with the death of their beloved dog Alaiyha. And now, just nine days later, another stroke of fate has struck: Alaiyha’s sister Undine has also closed her faithful eyes forever.

“Our tears have not yet dried, and our beloved Undine is also gone. She missed her sister so much and then quietly left.” According to the post, the dog was born on February 15, 2012, died on July 19, and was thus twelve and a half years old. Sister Alaiyha was almost exactly one year older.

The Kretschmers had rescued Undine, who has now died, “many years ago from the Spanish animal welfare organization,” the designer reports in his moving farewell post. “From the first to the last day, she thanked us with her gentle and loving nature. The world has lost a dog angel.” The post also contains four touching pictures of the greyhound.

Loss of parents and several four-legged friends

The fashion designer had to cope with some painful blows of fate last year. In August 2023, his father Erich died at the age of 87. His mother Marianne followed in December at the age of 84. “When my mother died, everything was gone […]. I was more lost than I had ever been in my entire life.”

In April of this year, the family lost their dog Idaya, who only lived to be four years old. “It breaks our hearts and we are still stunned by this unexpected and tragic loss…”. The year before, they had already mourned the loss of their dog Aimée. And now in July, two beloved four-legged friends have died.
