Alec Baldwin (66) has made his first appearance on the red carpet since the “Rust” trial against the actor was dropped. The Hollywood star appeared with his wife Hilaria (40) at a screening of the film “War Game” in East Hampton, New York. Baldwin appeared at the event in a casual outfit consisting of dark gray trousers, a light blue shirt and a black jacket. The 66-year-old completed the ensemble with black leather shoes, which he wore without socks.

His wife Hilaria appeared at the event in a figure-hugging pink strapless dress that reached almost to the floor. She combined it with white pumps. Her dark hair was styled in waves that fell over her shoulders.

Only a week ago, Alec Baldwin was still sitting in a courtroom before a surprising turn of events occurred in the trial against him: The judge had closed the proceedings in Santa Fe, New Mexico, due to a procedural error by the prosecution.

This means that Baldwin cannot be held responsible for the fatal shot on the set of the film “Rust” in any new criminal proceedings. He faced up to 18 months in prison. In October 2021, 42-year-old camerawoman Halyna Hutchins (1979-2021) was fatally wounded by a bullet from a firearm held by Baldwin while filming the film “Rust”.

After the dismissal of his criminal case, Alec Baldwin could now allegedly sue a prosecutor and a sheriff for withholding evidence in the case. The lawyer for Halyna Hutchins’ family has also announced that the relatives of the murdered camerawoman want to continue to fight for justice. According to US media reports, she said that the dismissal of the criminal case against Alec Baldwin for negligent homicide “only strengthens our resolve to seek justice in the civil case.”
