Amira Pocher: Did Oliver Pocher benefit from her?

After Oliver Pocher demanded that she change her last name, his wife Amira hit back – and also attacked Pocher’s ex-wife.

“Yesterday I was boiling inside,” says Amira Pocher (31) in her podcast. But even when recording the new episode of “Liebes Leben” (exclusively on Podimo) she is still on edge. The reason: the demand of her still-husband Oliver Pocher (46) to take her maiden name Aly again. He is “fundamentally in favor of her changing her name back to her original name,” the comedian said, again in his own podcast with ex-wife Alessandra “Sandy” Meyer-Wölden (41).

Since Oliver Pocher’s statement, Amira has been bombarded with messages from his “followers,” says the influencer to her brother and podcast sidekick Hima (34). She is not even divorced and wants to take things slowly at first.

“To be honest, the surname is so interesting for everyone because it is of course also a brand,” Oliver Pocher said in his podcast. In this context, he mentions Barbara Becker (57) and Natascha Ochsenknecht (59), who have stuck to their famous partners’ names after divorcing them.

Does Oliver Pocher want to demonstrate his power over Amira?

Amira Pocher, meanwhile, accuses him of having “planned” the cash on delivery issue in order to put her under pressure. If she gives in and takes her birth name again, he can claim: “You see, if I say something, then that’s what will be done.” He wants to show her that “I have power.”

No matter what she decides, she can’t please anyone anyway, complains Amira Pocher in the podcast. In public, she is seen as a “gold digger” who is only interested in the money and fame of her famous (ex-)partner.

“Who is benefiting from Olli right now?”

Amira Pocher describes herself as “the last person” who would deny that she benefited from her husband’s fame. But she can now stand on her own two feet. Other ex-wives of Oliver Pocher cannot say the same. “Who is profiting from Olli right now?” she asks rhetorically. “Who? Me? I do my thing. Who is profiting from him? Nobody says anything.”

It should be clear who she means: Sandy Meyer-Wölden. Since the separation, she has been Amira’s successor in the podcast “Die Pochers”. It continues with the subtitle “freshly recycled”, although Sandy does not call herself Pocher.

Did Oliver Pocher’s career get a boost from his marriage to Amira?

Amira Pocher now claims that Oliver Pocher has also benefited professionally from their marriage. After all, they not only ran the podcast together, but also appeared as a couple on television and on stage. “When I met Olli, he was touring clubs in Germany and they weren’t 1,000-capacity venues, there were 200, 300 people and I controlled the screen behind him and helped him with his tour,” she says.

Many people have said that Oliver Pocher first became likeable because of her. And his current tour, in which the comedian is exploiting the break-up, is the most successful of his career. Amira’s conclusion on the Pocher or Aly case: “I don’t need that name. I’ll always get by in life somehow.”
