Madonna and two of her daughters attended the premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine”. The singer lent her hit “Like a Prayer” to the film.
Madonna (65) made a surprise visit to the premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine” (2024). The pop icon appeared on the red carpet in New York on Monday (July 22) with her twin daughters Estere and Stella (11). The singer lent her song “Like a Prayer” to the action film.
Elegant appearance in black
For the event, the musician opted for an all-black outfit. She wore a cropped blazer dress, which she combined with fine fishnet tights and elegant ankle boots. She accessorized with fishnet gloves and a few long silver necklaces. Her adopted daughters Estere and Stella were dressed more casually in oversized shirts, wide pants and sneakers.
The three posed for a photo with Ryan Reynolds (47) and Hugh Jackman (55). Reynolds plays the antihero Deadpool in the Marvel blockbuster, as in previous films, while Jackman once again takes on the role of the superhero Wolverine. The blockbuster will be released in German cinemas on July 24th.
Personal visit to Madonna
In order to get Madonna’s hit “Like a Prayer” for the film, a meeting with the Queen of Pop was necessary. Reynolds, Jackman and “Deadpool & Wolverine” director Shawn Levy (56) reported this. According to Reynolds, it was “a big deal” to ask her about the license for this song, as she would not just release it. However, Madonna agreed to use it for the proposed fight scene.
In addition to the singer, other famous faces appeared at the event. Cast members such as Emma Corrin (28), Morena Baccarin (45), Leslie Uggams (81) and Rob Delaney (47) appeared at the event. Model Gigi Hadid (29), singer Avril Lavigne (39) and *NSYNC were also guests. The boy band appeared on the red carpet without Justin Timberlake (43).
