“I could have hidden the news until the end,” says Hailey Bieber (27) about her first pregnancy. She was able to hide her baby bump for six months because it “stayed small for a long time,” the model now explains to “W” magazine in a cover story published on Tuesday (July 23).
How? She wore “big jackets” before the founder of the skin care line “Rhode” and singer Justin Bieber (30) announced the baby news. “I really didn’t have a belly until I was six months pregnant.” However, after a few months, the 27-year-old could no longer enjoy the secrecy: “Hiding this big secret didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
Bad pregnancy symptoms
She was only able to enjoy her pregnancy from the second trimester onwards. Before that, Bieber suffered from acute morning sickness: “I don’t know why they call it that, because it lasts all day. We have to change the name,” she jokes.
“At the beginning of the pregnancy, it was super emotional for me,” recalls Hailey Bieber: “I love this person so much. How can I possibly make someone else do that?” The daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin (58) and niece of Alec Baldwin (66) also got profound during the interview when it came to her family. She revealed that she is “not very close” to the Baldwins and instead feels “very independent”: “I am my own person now, and I have built my own family.”

She also pointed out that “the internet is a scary place for a pregnant woman.” “You see so many stories, traumatic birth stories, traumatic experiences. I know that’s very real. But I don’t want to scare myself,” said Bieber.
The model has been married to Justin Bieber since September 2018. Fans believe that the couple is expecting a little girl, as Hailey Bieber called her belly dweller a “cherry blossom” in a post and used a pink flower emoji.
