Ryan Reynolds shot his latest film with his friend and colleague Hugh Jackman. The actor believes that friendships and romantic relationships are not so different.
Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds is convinced that friendships and romantic relationships have a lot in common. “I think there is a surprising amount of overlap,” the 47-year-old told dpa. “I think a really lasting relationship is usually based on trust. Trust is everything. But also cheering on and supporting the other person. If you really want the other person to succeed. That’s a good sign.”
He hopes that his wife – actress Blake Lively – will be successful. “Not all the time,” he added jokingly. “Enough is enough. But I want her to be successful independently of me.”
He wishes the same for his friend and colleague Hugh Jackman, with whom he can be seen in the Marvel film “Deadpool & Wolverine”. The blockbuster was released in cinemas on July 24th.
Jackman also has an idea of what makes a good friendship. “Being able to say everything,” says the 55-year-old. “I think that’s a good sign of a friendship.” It must also be possible to address difficult things and criticism, says the Australian.
