Lena Meyer-Landrut recently had to cancel two concerts within two days. The reason was her poor health, but her team did not provide any further details. Her mental health was recently the topic of discussion.
There is great concern for Lena Meyer-Landrut among the singer’s fans. She had to cancel three concerts within just three weeks, two in the past few days. She was supposed to appear at the “Ansbach Open” on Sunday. Shortly before that came the shocking news: “Unfortunately, Lena had an unexpected medical emergency today and had to cancel her performance with a heavy heart. She is receiving medical treatment.” Her concert in Regensburg on Monday was therefore also canceled, as Lena was not feeling any better, it was said.
Lena Meyer-Landrut talks about her depression
It is not known what exactly is bothering Meyer-Landrut. A few weeks ago there was talk of stomach and kidney pain. The 33-year-old recently spoke in an interview with the daily newspaper “Luxemburger Wort” about her psychological problems and her strategies for protecting herself. She also addresses these on her new album “Loyal to myself”. There is a simple reason for this. “Because it is a part of me and of course somehow had an influence on the album. Good songs are created through the extreme emotions. For me, depression is something completely normal and nothing sensational,” says Meyer-Landrut.
After a long absence, the 2010 ESC winner had mixed feelings about the live performances, as she revealed in an interview. “I was really scared. I really hoped it would be good and wanted to wait and see what time would come,” she said.

Cancellation of concerts
Over the course of her career, she has learned methods to protect herself mentally. “I am constantly exposed to opinions from outside and am therefore judged and condemned. But over the years I have acquired a few methods that help me: turning off the cell phone sometimes, going outside, having other conversations with friends,” says Meyer-Landrut.
The interview was conducted before her summer concerts, according to the “Luxemburger Wort” and before Meyer-Landrut had to cancel two concerts at the weekend. In a few days, on July 27, Lena is actually supposed to appear at the “Echterlive Festival”. It is not yet known whether the performance will take place. “Keep an eye on the organizers’ updates,” is Lena’s team’s advice to fans.
