One day before his 81st birthday, Mick Jagger and his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick kicked off the Olympic Games.
He might not be able to take part in the Olympic Games, but Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is still as fit as a fiddle at the age of 81. The rocker showed this once again in Paris: The official opening ceremony on Friday evening (July 26) on the Seine is still to come, but the first big party with well-known guests took place on Thursday evening. LVMH boss Bernard Arnault (75) invited people to the Fondation Louis Vuitton together with co-hosts such as Pharrell Williams (51) and Anna Wintour (74) to celebrate under the motto “Prelude to the Olympics”.
Sir Mick Jagger came to the star-studded event with his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick (37). The two posed together in good spirits on the dark green carpet of the event – he in a black suit with a floral design and an unbuttoned white shirt, she in a black sleeveless midi dress with gold appliqués.

The couple paid a visit to Team Great Britain during the day. Jagger posted photos showing him with various athletes, as well as Princess Anne (73). Hamrick shared a photo with Jagger’s daughter Karis (53), showing them in front of the British team’s house, thanked them for their hospitality and expressed her anticipation for the games.
Today, Friday, is a special day for Jagger for other reasons too: the rocker is celebrating his 81st birthday. Will he be celebrating at the opening ceremony?

It is Jagger’s eighth child: in 1970 he became a father for the first time, to daughter Karis. The musician has a daughter Jade (52) from his marriage to Bianca Jagger (79). He shares four children with model Jerry Hall (68) – Elizabeth (40), James (39), Georgia (32) and Gabriel (27). Jagger’s seventh child, son Lucas (25), comes from an affair with a Brazilian model.
