Mourning for Erica Ash: The comedian and actress died at the age of only 46 as a result of cancer.
The US actress and comedian Erica Ash (1977-2024) has died. The actress, who became known through a leading role in the 2013 film parody “Scary Movie 5”, died at the age of 46 from the effects of cancer.

Ash’s good friend, comedian Loni Love (53), first confirmed the death on Monday (July 29) with an Instagram post. “I am saddened to confirm the passing of my friend and fellow actress Erica Ashe,” wrote actress Love, who herself appeared in films such as “Paul Smith 2.” The deceased was “talented and funny” and “put everything into her work.”
Ash’s colleague, comedian Mike Epps (53), known from films such as “Next Friday”, also died. “Rest in peace, Erica. Gone too soon. She was such a great person as a colleague, full of life and wit and talent, you left a big mark on the earth.”
Ash, who has also worked as a singer and model, has appeared in numerous films and US television shows over the course of her career. For example, she was part of the ensemble of the sketch comedy series “MadTV” and played the fictional ex-wife of Hollywood star Kevin Hart (45) in the mockumentary “Real Husbands Of Hollywood”.
