What are the requirements to apply for the Spanish digital nomad visa?

The Spanish agencies listed the following requirements: To access the visa:

  • Graduates from prestigious universities, vocational training and business schools are required. A minimum of three years of professional work experience in the role to be performed remotely is required.
  • No criminal record.
  • They must work as employees for one or more companies located outside of Spain or be self-employed.
  • They must demonstrate the existence of real and continuous activity for at least one year.
  • They must prove an employment or business relationship with the company for at least the last three months prior to submitting the application, as well as documentation proving that said company allows them as workers to carry out remote work activities.
  • They must prove that they have the financial resources to cover the first few months. They must prove that they have at least 2,160 euros per month.
  • Documentation proving that the employment or professional relationship can be carried out remotely.
  • Have health insurance.

Besides The following documentation was required: valid passport and photocopies of all its pages, National Identity Document (DNI) and its photocopy, national visa application, Foreigner Identity Number (NIE), temporary NIE application form EX15, form 790-012, pay the 70 thousand pesos visa fee and proof of financial means.
