Nicola Peltz Beckham is suing her Chichuahua’s groomer. In the lawsuit, she blames him for the death of her dog.
Nicola Peltz Beckham (29) has filed a lawsuit against her Chihuahua’s groomer. He apparently treated her and husband Brooklyn Beckham’s (25) dog shortly before her death in June. According to the lawsuit, she blames the “HoundSpa” salon and an employee for the death of her dog Nala. This is according to the lawsuit, which is said to have been made available to the media.
Death allegedly two hours after treatment
According to People, the actress states in the lawsuit that the dog returned from a routine visit to the mobile dog groomer on June 15th “injured and in severe physical pain.” Symptoms included labored breathing, panting, and a throbbing chest. Two hours after the treatment, she died of her “injuries and serious condition.” As TMZ reports, Peltz Beckham is demanding compensatory and punitive damages.
According to the media outlet, the “Bates Motel” actress claims in the letter that the employee has a history of “intentional and malicious mistreatment of dogs.” Since there have already been several complaints against the hairdresser for mistreatment, she accuses the salon and its owner of “reckless and malicious behavior,” according to “People.”
Peltz Beckham and second dog suffer
After the appointment with the groomer, she is said to have taken her dog to a nearby vet. The vet diagnosed that Nala’s “tongue was blue, she had fluid in her lungs and suffered neurological damage.” Despite being given oxygen, the actor couple’s pet died.
Peltz Beckham experienced “emotional distress” after witnessing the death. As “TMZ” mentions, her second dog, Angel, is also disturbed as a result of the incident. He allegedly shakes and screams every time he is left alone.
“I can not stand”
On June 16, the day after the incident, Peltz Beckham revealed the death of her beloved dog. “She was my beautiful queen and stuck with me through everything for 9 years,” she mourned. She also warned her followers: “Please be careful who you send your dogs to because you don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.”
In a statement leaked to People magazine, she said it “broke my heart” to read similar stories from fans. “I can’t stand it. I’m outraged when I hear how common stories like Nala’s are,” she said.
The actress wants to prevent further incidents of this kind. “I have dedicated most of my life to rescuing dogs and I cannot in good conscience allow this terrible act to happen to other families,” she explained her motivation.
