Patrick Dempsey has been married to his wife Jillian for 25 years. To mark their wedding anniversary, he posted a sweet declaration of love on Instagram.
“Grey’s Anatomy” star Patrick Dempsey (58) and his wife Jillian Dempsey (58) celebrated a very special wedding anniversary on Wednesday (July 31) – the two have been married for 25 years. On this occasion, the “Sexiest Man Alive” left his partner an emotional declaration of love. Dempsey looks back at a wedding photo from 1999: “25 years, it feels like yesterday! I can’t handle how quickly time has passed.”
“I am grateful for everything you are”
He continues, addressing his wife: “Life would not be the same without you, your vision, your kindness, your compassion, your love, your sexuality, your intelligence, your warmth, your friendship, your wisdom. The love of my life, I am truly grateful for all you do and who you are. You are an incredible mother, wife, friend and partner, Jillian.”
His wife shared the same photo on her channel and added a Polaroid snap of Patrick Dempsey on their first date. She wrote: “Happy 25th baby! Vintage moments to cherish. I love you and our beautiful children,” the mother of three wrote. She was also thrilled that they had made it to a really big number on a Hallmark card together. Hallmark Card is the largest manufacturer and distributor of greeting cards in the USA.
The actor met the trained hairstylist and make-up artist in the late 1990s when he happened to pass by her salon. “I knew immediately when I saw her for the first time that she was the one for me,” he recently gushed in an interview with “People” magazine. “I looked across the room and when I saw her, I was completely overwhelmed.”
Two years later, in 1999, they tied the knot. Their three children, 22-year-old Talula and 17-year-old twins Sullivan and Darby, made their love life complete. After a brief marital crisis in 2015, the Dempseys are now inseparable again.
