For an incredible 20.5 million dollars (approx. 19 million euros), Ben Affleck (51) has bought a new luxury villa in Los Angeles, in which he will live without his still-wife Jennifer Lopez (55) after the two are said to be on the verge of divorce. New photos show how luxurious and impressive the house is.

The 575 square meter property is located in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood, which is popular with celebrities. Affleck is said to have signed the purchase agreement on J.Lo’s 55th birthday on July 24, it was recently reported. However, the two-time Oscar winner is said to have taken out a loan of 10 million dollars (approx. 9.2 million euros) for this purpose.

According to the Daily Mail, the impressive villa was built and designed in the early 1940s by the well-known architect Cliff May (1909-1989). Affleck’s previous owners had the building extensively renovated. The villa now has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, a large garden with a pool and a pool house. The exterior façade impresses with a mixture of rustic stone slabs and a clean cream-white paint. Large windows with black steel frames flood the interior of the house with plenty of light.

The rooms are bright and modern and all have warm hardwood floors and wooden beams on the high ceilings. Marble bathrooms, a fireplace, an XXL kitchen and an open staircase are further highlights in Affleck’s new home.

Divorce papers should be ready

It has been known since mid-July that Affleck and Lopez are selling their shared villa in Beverly Hills. The property is officially listed as for sale on the real estate portal Zillow. A few days ago, several insiders also reported to the Daily Mail that the couple’s divorce papers are ready but have not yet been filed. They are allegedly still waiting for the right time.
