Cleaning children’s toys properly is essential to protect their health. Find out how and how often they should be cleaned.
Although we want to keep children as clean, safe and healthy as possible, it is not necessary clean up their toys every day. It is enough to clean them when they are visibly dirty.
The only time when toys should be cleaned and disinfected daily is if children are recovering from an illness, so that it does not relapse. Another possibility is after playing with other children, due to possible contagion.

How to clean your baby’s toys, according to the material
Plastic toys
WASH
- Plastic toys should be washed with a bristle brush, with white soap and hot water (regular soap is sufficient), ANTIBACTERIAL SOAPS ARE NOT NECESSARY.
DISINFECT
- Plastic toys can be disinfected by using diluted bleach. 2 drops of bleach per litre of water that is not hot. Simply immerse them and let them soak for 5 minutes.
DRY OFF
- It is essential to rinse the toys with warm water and let them dry in a clean place outdoors.
Wooden or metal games
WASH
- Wash the surface with a CLOTH or CLOTH RACK moistened with soapy water and wrung out. Dry with another clean, dry cloth or cloth rack.
DISINFECT
- To DISINFECT metal or wooden toys, you can also use a splash of white vinegar (100 ml) mixed with soapy water.
DRY OFF

Cloth or stuffed animal games
WASH
- Cloth toys such as stuffed animals or doll clothes in general should be washed in the WASHING MACHINE with hot water and regular soaps. White vinegar can be used to clean and disinfect toys.
DISINFECT
- To DISINFECT fabric toys, do so when they go through the washing machine in the drying cycle. (We recommend 55°)
DRY OFF
