The American singer Anastacia was actually supposed to perform at the tent music festival in Freiburg on Sunday evening. But just an hour before the concert, which was supposed to start at 8 p.m. in the circus tent, she canceled her appearance.
The organizers announced the bad news with the following words: “Due to an acute illness, Anastacia is unable to perform. Therefore, the concert has to be cancelled at short notice.” Efforts are being made to postpone the concert to the next tent music festival in 2025, and the tickets remain valid.
Anastacia: “The doctors advised me not to perform”
No further details about her health were given. Since Anastacia has already fought breast cancer twice, many fans are now very worried.
Anastacia also posted a statement on her Instagram page and told her fans that she was “so sorry” about the cancellation. “The doctors advised me not to perform. I was so looking forward to the performance and hope that I can come back soon.” Her team is working on finding a new date. “So please keep your eyes open for news in the next few days. Other artists also suffered from health problems
Anastacia is not the only musician to shock her fans with a last-minute cancellation this summer. Lena Meyer-Landrut, for example, had to cancel several concerts for health reasons. The band Pur also canceled their second Hamburg concert at the end of July due to a flu infection.
