It is worth remembering that musicals have a captive audience (this niche usually goes to see the same musical several times, as happened with phenomena such as ““Almost normal”who returns, “Forever Young” either “The Rocky Horror Show”) to which is added the attraction of this genre as an option for family entertainment.
During the winter holidays, the top ten of the most watched theater shows was headed and dominated by musicals such as “School of rock”, “Tootsie”, “Mamma Mia”, “Rent” and “Legally Blonde”, while the off-screen musicals had sold-out seats or very good attendance, such as “Gallola in Paris”, “A Life Without Julie” or “An Italian Tango” or “Pelomuerta”, among many others that are examples of a small-format musical that is clearly booming.
