In 2006 the so-called “Robbery of the Century” a multimillion-dollar robbery at the former Banco Río where five men held 23 people hostage for seven hours before stealing what they found in 143 safe deposit boxes, a loot estimated at around 19 million dollars, and fleeing in a raft without leaving anyone injured after escaping through a hole.
That hit was brought to the cinema in 2020 with Guillermo Francella and Diego Peretti as protagonists and the direction of Ariel Winograd.

In the story, it all begins with an idea by Fernando Araujo (Peretti), the mastermind behind the planning. From his studio, he designed an assault without real weapons, inspired by martial arts techniques and philosophical principles. In addition, he used his ingenuity to devise a strategy that involved taking hostages as a distraction and an escape through a storm tunnel. He is also the one who puts together the gang and calls on an experienced professional Luis Mario Vitette Sellanes (Francella), who already had a track record and was well-known in the “business.”
