Oliver Pocher chats with ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden in their joint podcast about vacation. He also talks about his wedding to his ex-partner Amira.
The current episode of the joint podcast by Oliver Pocher (46) and his ex-wife Alessandra Meyer-Wölden (41), also known as Sandy, is mainly about vacation. But it wouldn’t be “The Pochers! Freshly recycled” if the two didn’t talk about Pocher’s former partner Amira Pocher (31) at one point or another.
In the “holiday special” recorded live in Berlin, in which Pocher, among other things, talks about all sorts of minor annoyances related to flying, the presenter is mentioned briefly several times. He and Amira were married in 2019. After the marriage failed, the couple’s former relationship and divorce were discussed many times in “Die Pochers! Frisch recycled” and in the podcast that Amira runs with her brother.
Oliver Pocher about his Maldives holidays
When asked by Pocher about the best vacation of her life, Meyer-Wölden named two: a stay in the Maldives and one in South Africa. Pocher was there both times. She remembers being pregnant with her ex during the Maldives vacation. According to the report, the couple took the time off just a few weeks before the birth.
It was so beautiful there that Pocher later got married in the Maldives, Meyer-Wölden hinted shortly afterwards. “I even got married there,” the comedian confirmed. “I got married with Amira in the Maldives. We had a very small wedding, with only the closest people.” He also said, after an interjection from Sandy, that his trousers burst “when I carried her over the threshold.” Amira was also pregnant at the time.
Last year, Pocher congratulated Amira on her wedding anniversary on Instagram, despite the fact that their separation had been announced beforehand. At the time, he shared photos from the wedding in the Maldives, in which a beaming Amira could be seen several times. Several months earlier, she had stressed in a question and answer session on the platform: “I had the most beautiful wedding ever.” Even though it was a small celebration, she explained: “I am absolutely grateful and don’t feel like I’m missing anything.”

Pocher is “happily divorced”
Although the name Amira is mentioned a few more times in the podcast episode, the audience, which was allowed to ask Pocher and Meyer-Wölden questions, was obviously also interested in what the situation is like between the comedian and his first ex-wife. “How would you describe your status, up to date?” asked one of those present. “Our status is ‘happily divorced’,” replied Pocher. However, the joint podcast has “built up an additional closeness.”
“The way it is now, it’s perfect. And everything is wonderful,” says Pocher. “I’m happy for everyone who wants the Sandy xxxx. And vice versa, if one day someone outside the Harz takes pity on me, then I’ll take it,” jokes Pocher. Meyer-Wölden apparently didn’t have much to say about it.
