The Paris 2024 Olympic Games are making headlines worldwide, not only for sports, but also for the food offered in the Olympic Village. On the social network TikTok, “Muffin Man”, nickname of Henrik Christiansena 27-year-old Norwegian swimmer who is taking part in the competition.

Through his personal account, the athlete commented that the chocolate muffins at the Villa restaurant deserve an “11 out of 10”, calling them the best of all the food available. Below we leave you a recipe so you can replicate the Olympic experience at home.

Ingredients
- 50 grs. of chocolate powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 250 gr of wheat flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 250 gr of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 and a half cups of milk
- 1 cup of freshly brewed coffee
- 200 gr of sugar
- vanilla extract
- 180 ml of Greek yogurt
- 15 ml of butter
Preparation
- In a container, put together the chocolatebaking soda, wheat flour and salt. Mix all the ingredients.
- Then I added the semi-sweet chocolate chips and covered with the dry ingredients. Set aside.
- In a bowl, I beat the eggs, and then added the cup of milk, the cup of freshly made coffee, the sugar, the vanilla extract, the Greek yogurt and melted butter. Mix thoroughly.
- Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and combine, without overmixing.
- Once ready, I served a spoonful of the mixture onto an individual muffin container covered with food paper.
- Decorate with extra chocolate chips and bake at 200°C for 30 minutes.
- To check if the chocolate muffins are ready, insert a toothpick into the center and it should come out clean.
