Richard Lugner’s “Bienchen”: Wife Simone says goodbye on Instagram

Mourning for Richard Lugner. His wife Simone says goodbye to her late husband on Instagram.

They got married just a few weeks ago, and now Simone Lugner (42) has said goodbye to her husband, property developer Richard Lugner (1932-2024), who died at the age of 91, on Instagram. In a few but moving lines, she once again addresses her last words to her husband.

Richard Lugner was the dream of her life

“You were the dream of my life,” , also known as “Little Bee,” captioned a portrait of the deceased. “And when I saw you beaming at the sight of me, I knew that I was yours too,” she continued. Presumably as a sign of mourning, the 42-year-old’s profile picture on Instagram is currently completely blacked out.

“Mörtel”, as Lugner is nicknamed, had only married his Simone on June 1st in Vienna. It was his sixth marriage. Before that, he had also married Christina “Mausi” Lugner (59) and Cathy “Spatzi” Lugner (34), who also spoke out about the death of their former partner.

“Mortar” remains an unforgettable role model

“Richard was my role model and life partner, I have a lot to thank him for.” She spoke to him on the phone just on Sunday. She “learned so much from him, he relied on me so much and put his trust in me.” The former couple were married from 1991 to 2007.

Richard Lugner was married to “Spatzi” between 2014 and 2016. “When I received the tragic news of your death this morning, I was in shock. Richard, you seemed immortal to me too,” and continued: “Your commitment, your willpower, your courage were inspiring and contagious. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the great time at your side, for everything you taught me about life.” He will never be forgotten.
