Amira Pocher will soon compete against Vanessa Mai on “Schlag den Star” and wants to “shave” in the show.
It has been known since mid-July that Amira Pocher (31) will compete against Vanessa Mai (32) in “Schlag den Star”. The presenter and former partner of Oliver Pocher (46) does not want to leave the field to the singer so easily, as she now suggests in her podcast.
Vanessa Mai is said to have “no chance”
She has to “shave here now,” says Amira Pocher, who she has with her brother Hima Aly. Her opponent has “no chance,” he is sure.
In the boxing studio where she trains, there are “dolls, giant sandbags in the shape of people,” about 1.80 meters tall and weighing 80 kilograms. And she was supposed to throw one of these dolls off her shoulders. Pocher told her personal trainer: “You do realize that I’m not taking part in ‘Celebrity Boxing,’ right? I’m taking part in ‘Beat the Star’.” She is now “a complete weapon.” Her upper body and thighs have also apparently been given plenty of training recently. “Everything hurts.”
Hima wants to support his sister Amira
Mai looks very athletic and Pocher suspects that the “Schlag den Star” producers want to “finish off” the two of them. He, on the other hand, wants to support his sister in the show, says Hima: “Now it’s the other way around.”
He once appeared with a dance group in the Austrian show “Die große Chance” and Amira cheered him on, the two explain. She was “bursting […] with pride” and “screamed my heart out” during the recording in Vienna. Now she’s getting that back, jokes Hima.
Pocher will face Mai on August 24th on “Schlag den Star” from 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben. It will certainly not be easy for the presenter, as the singer brings experience with her. She already competed in 2019 and was able to secure victory against Luna Schweiger (27).
As usual, Pocher and Mai will face a duel of up to 15 rounds, with 100,000 euros up for grabs. Matthias Opdenhövel (53) will moderate, Ron Ringguth (58) will commentate.
