They had just gotten married, and now she is grieving: Richard Lugner’s wife Simone finds emotional words of farewell. Other former wives also spoke out.
They got married just a few weeks ago, and now Simone Lugner, 42, has said goodbye to her husband, property developer Richard Lugner (1932-2024), who died at the age of 91, on Instagram. In a few but moving lines, she once again addresses her last words to her husband.
Richard Lugner was the dream of her life
“You were the dream of my life,” writes Simone Lugner, also known as “Bienchen,” in a portrait of the deceased. “And when I saw you beaming at the sight of me, I knew that I was yours too,” she continues. Presumably as a sign of mourning, the 42-year-old’s profile picture on Instagram is currently completely blacked out.

“Mortar” remains an unforgettable role model

Richard Lugner was married to “Spatzi” between 2014 and 2016. “When I received the tragic news of your death this morning, I was in shock. Richard, you seemed immortal to me too,” she wrote on Instagram. And continued: “Your commitment, your willpower, your courage were inspiring and contagious. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the great time at your side, for everything you taught me about life.” He will never be forgotten.
