On August 12, Daniel Aminati (50) shared the good news that his wife Patrice (29) is free of metastases six months after starting her second cancer treatment. One day later, the influencer spoke out herself. It was only through the reactions to her husband’s post that she realized: “It’s not a dream – according to the current PET-MRI, no metastases are visible. None.”
Joy with reservations
Despite the positive news, the young mother does not want to throw herself into a frenzy of joy. “One and a half years is not something you can shake off easily. One and a half years of therapy that was only painful but not healing, diagnoses that were like bad news, level 9 pain, unbelievable fears, terrible sleepless nights and nightmares…”, Aminati gives an honest insight into her ordeal.
She will continue to take 21 tablets a day and will have to undergo regular check-ups for at least another two years. The 29-year-old knows that a person is only considered cured after five years without new metastases: “This truth will stay with me and I will have to put my dreams on hold.”
The cancer diagnosis changed Aminati and sharpened her focus on what is important. That is why she is aware that without her environment and the team of doctors, such progress would never have been possible. “I am grateful that, despite the diagnosis – stage four malignant melanoma with distant metastases in many different organs – they fought for me and gave me hope.”
Shock diagnosis in spring 2023
Last April, Patrice Aminati, who has a one-year-old daughter with her husband, announced that she had been diagnosed with melanoma. In February, news came that the cancer had spread and metastasized to her lungs and other organs.
The Aminatis had repeatedly informed their followers about the course of the illness on their social media channels. The family is currently recovering in the Thuringian Forest from the strains of the last few months.
