What activities can I do in Pellegrini, Province of Buenos Aires?
Francisco Salamone Municipality: Pellegrini has one of the most impressive and complete works of the Engineer Francisco Salamone, who besides designing it was also its director. A building of sublime presence, majestic, with its grand tower of thirty-four meters that culminates with a clock on both sides of it, being the only Municipality that has it and two floors that receive the community in a perfect state of conservation.
In addition to being able to tour the building, climb the tower and enjoy the aerial view of the city, you can also see the furniture that has been recovered over the years and is used in several of the offices.
Gastronomy: In the heart of the city, on the Rivadavia street corridor, you can find a variety of bars that contribute their personality so that tourists can enjoy the variety of dishes they offer. In this circuit you can find the traditional “Barrabás”, the young “Moustache” and a new gastronomic proposal such as “Abanico Resto Bar”.
Italian Society Cinema Theatre: An imposing century-old building that stands on Rivadavia Street and offers an architectural charm as you pass by. Its magic is in the hands of those Italian immigrants who gave it life in the early 1900s and that, despite the economic and social ups and downs, remained standing thanks to the commitment of the community. With a capacity of more than 600 seats and after having been renovated, this cultural space generates the possibility of sharing unforgettable moments in the community.
Cultural Center and Immigrant Museum: On the curious corner of Alsina and Alsina, there is this emblematic building restored with the aim of safeguarding the history of our immigrant families, the first settlers of this century-old town. In this Museum, the lives of those who have forged what we are, those who have generated activities, shared professions, giving themselves to the entire community, always dreaming of a better tomorrow, endure in objects.
Sanquilcó Lagoon: Sanquilco, “water that jumps or water that gushes” in the Mapuche language, keeps among the plain that surrounds it some secrets of the Desert Campaign, stories, sounds and others that were rescued and kept in the Museum. With its calm waters, today converted into the natural habitat of several species of birds, it guards the sunsets on the plain of a Pampas plain that becomes immense in the eyes of those who contemplate it. Located five kilometers from the main city, reaching it is a journey of extreme pleasure enjoying the rural landscape.
Entrepreneur wagon: Standing out for the variety of products, their quality, prices, presentation and good service, this place is one of the favorites of tourists. This site is formed by native and optional Pilgrim entrepreneurs who make crafts and share this physical space motivated by the passion of showing their creations.
Here you can find a fantastic variety of products made with fabrics, textiles, paints, wood, ceramics, iron and much more, not to mention the unique flavors of Pellegrini that can be appreciated in the cakes, alfajores, puddings, the wonderful range of sweets and preserves and of course in the variety of sausages that cannot be missed.
