Alain Delon: Final resting place with his dogs

French film legend Alain Delon receives an unusual final resting place – on his estate next to his dogs.

The recently deceased French film star Alain Delon (1935-2024) is apparently receiving an unusual funeral. It has been reported that the acting legend will be buried in the middle of the week on her own estate in Douchy (Loiret). Delon is said to have lived there for around half a century and his numerous dogs were also buried there.

Alain Delon wanted an intimate funeral

According to Delon’s wishes, the funeral will take place in a very small circle – in a chapel built on the property for this purpose. Before his death, the acting star spoke out against a public ceremony and wanted an intimate funeral.

However, it is said that there are plans to hold another ceremony at a later date, at which the public can pay their last respects. A temporary no-fly zone has been set up until Wednesday evening in the region where the property is located, in front of which numerous flowers have been laid in recent days.

One of Delon’s last companions was his dog Loubo, whom the actor’s children – Alain-Fabien (30), Anouchka (33) and Anthony (59) – included in their mourning, according to a statement from the French news agency AFP. “He passed away peacefully in his house in Douchy surrounded by his three children and his family.” The actor was 88 years old.
