One strawberry cream, please! British actress Kate Beckinsale (51) didn’t order it at the ice cream parlor, but at the hairdresser. The actress shows off her new rose-colored hair.
At a Pomeranian dog party in Los Angeles, it wasn’t just puppy Myf who was allowed to show off. Kate Beckinsale left the house with a new hair color for the first time. Her hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos also did and called the color “strawberry whipped cream.”
It is not known whether Beckinsale really had her curly brown hair bleached and dyed pink, or whether she was just wearing a wig. In the comments on both posts, the new hair color was at least partly well received. In others, Beckinsale was criticized, as is so often the case.
Kate Beckinsale campaigns against body shaming
The 51-year-old made it clear in July when she wore a swimsuit from the brand Mua Mua in an Instagram post: “I didn’t ask for your opinion.” The label tailored the one-piece to the actress because she had spoken out against body shaming online after having to justify her weight loss.
Beckinsale had to be hospitalized for six weeks in the spring because grief over her deceased stepfather and worry about her mother, who was suffering from cancer, had “burned a hole” in her esophagus, causing her to vomit blood.
“I had a hard time eating and then I just worked really, really hard on a movie that was also really triggering because it also dealt with the subject of my father’s death. So I’m not really worried about what you think about my butt,” she wrote in July, dismissing a user who was making fun of her body.
