  • Brewery Park: It was opened in 1922 based on Otto Bemberg’s idea of ​​building a recreational park. It covered 87,000 square metres with gardens and large spaces for practising sports. Today it houses a café, a beer garden, sports fields such as football and tennis, the “Chalecito Bemberg” and a variety of tree species.
  • House of Santa Coloma: It is a National, Provincial and Municipal Historic Monument for its architectural and historical value. It is the oldest building in the town where the British operations command was installed for a few hours during the English invasions of 1807.
  • Quilmes Cathedral: It was declared a National and Provincial Historic Site because the Quilmes reduction was established there in 1666 and the first chapel made of adobe and reeds was built in 1667. The Immaculate Conception is the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Quilmes, and among its notable elements is an organ with 1,246 wooden and metal pipes acquired in Germany.
  • “Victor Roverano” Museum of Visual Arts: Founded on September 1, 1965, five years later it acquired the current building, which was remodeled in the 1980s when a microcinema was added. It has a collection of more than 300 paintings, sculptures, engravings and drawings by Argentine artists dating from the late 19th century to the present day.
  • Night of the Arts: It has been held since 2009 in December, on the route from the Casa de la Cultura to the Roverano Museum, on Rivadavia Street. It consists of the exhibition of different artistic events, turning the two blocks it occupies into an open-air art gallery. It also includes live shows.
  • Craft Beer Festival: It has been held in the Ribera since 2009 in December. There are live shows with renowned bands and different types of events.

How to get to Quilmes, Province of Buenos Aires

By car, take the Buenos Aires – La Plata Highway. You can get off at the Bernal toll booth (Km 17) or the Quilmes toll booth (Km 22). From CABA: Pueyrredón Bridge, Belgrano Avenue, Mitre Avenue, Bernal Triangle. Continue along Dardo Rocha or Los Quilmes Avenue.
