Back in May of this year, news broke that NFL pro Travis Kelce would be in front of the camera for a horror series. In the FX show “Grotesquerie” by “Dahmer” and “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy, the partner of superstar Taylor Swift will take on an as yet unknown supporting role. But that’s not all: Super Bowl winner Kelce will also appear in the sequel to a comedy classic by Adam Sandler – and may play the lead role in an action comedy in the future. Next stop Hollywood?
Travis Kelce to be seen in “Happy Gilmore 2”
Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL, only signed for another two years with his team in May. The contract extension will pay him an impressive $34 million over the next two seasons, US media reports. But at 34 years old and at the start of his twelfth NFL season, the football player already seems to be thinking about his future.
Comedy legend Adam Sandler confirmed on August 20th on Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show” that Taylor Swift’s boyfriend will appear in his upcoming comedy “Happy Gilmore 2.” “He’s coming over. He’s a very nice guy. You’d love him in real life,” Sandler said. And continued: “What a tall, handsome guy. Funny and damn cool.”

It is currently unknown what role Kelce will play in the Netflix sequel. Filming for “Happy Gilmore 2” is set to begin in a few weeks. A release date for the streaming film has not yet been set.
Lead role in “Loose Cannons”?
Kelce is also said to be in talks for the lead role in the Hollywood production “Loose Cannons”. The action comedy is being produced by “John Wick” creator Chad Stahelski. It is about two police officers who are not quite right in the head and who have to work as a team to get each other back on track, according to the description of “Loose Cannons”.
The latter project in particular could be the starting point for a veritable acting career for Taylor Swift’s partner. However, Kelce will not be in front of the camera for the project in the coming months. The NFL season is on the calendar first, starting in early September.
