For actor and wrestler John Cena, the Oscars were not the first time he showed a lot of bare skin. And yet this moment was particularly embarrassing for him.
During his nude appearance at the last Oscars, actor John Cena says he was more embarrassed than ever before in his career. “I have the most decorated actors, producers and directors in one room,” the 47-year-old said in the podcast “Club Shay Shay” with a view to his appearance at the Oscars in March. “And I walk out there with my balls in the wind, with an index card covering my stuff, and ask: ‘Hey guys, is this funny?'”
The actor and wrestler came on stage naked at the 96th Academy Awards to present the award for best costume design. However, he immediately found host Jimmy Kimmel’s idea for the appearance funny and considered himself lucky to have been chosen for it, Cena explained.
He says his Oscar appearance was even more unpleasant in his memory than filming sex scenes – which he had previously described as “the worst.” There are so many people involved in a film, and they are all there when intimate scenes are being shot, he said. “It’s really embarrassing.”
