Felix Jaehn has spoken out with a moving Instagram post. The DJ has cancelled all future performances and wants to “heal”.

The well-known DJ, who celebrated his big breakthrough in 2014 with the remix “Cheerleader”, has… For some time now, Jaehn has been “hiding the fact that I’m not feeling well inside”. The musician only became aware of the “extent of the pain” after Jaehn sought professional help. The DJ is therefore currently “too vulnerable to perform”.

“I’m sorry to let you down, but for the moment I have to cancel all shows until further notice,” Jaehn continues. Now it is “time to rest. It’s time to heal.” Previously, Jaehn’s “body and mind had sent warning signals.” The DJ star was originally scheduled to appear at the Heidepark Festival in Soltau on September 1st. Gigs were planned for later in the month in Frankfurt am Main and on the party island of Ibiza.
On Instagram, Jaehn received overwhelming support for the moving post. “Health is the most important thing. Take your time,” says one comment, or: “Health always comes first.” Another user commented: “Take your time and come back stronger.”
New first name “Fee”
Jaehn made headlines in April. The DJ came out as non-binary at the time. “I prefer to use the name Fee at the moment because I’ve joined the non-binary people and want to have a gender-neutral name,” Jaehn said at the time. The musician also explained that he prefers the non-binary pronoun “dey/denen” in German – based on the English “they/them”.
