The initiative warns of the consequences that the new price could have for the population without access to a natural gas network and requests the provincial Executive Branch to adopt measures that guarantee a reasonable price for the most vulnerable households.
According to details from the Neuquén UP, the project bases its position on Resolution 216, issued by the national body, which implies a 31.8% increase in the price of a 10-kilogram bottle, bringing its value to $8,500.
He also points out that prices in the interior of Neuquén are even higher: In the southern neighborhoods of Neuquén, the cost per cylinder varies between $11,000 and $15,000, while in Chos Malal it reaches $20,000, and in Bajada del Agrio, close to $25,000.
“Javier Milei’s serious mistake in releasing the price cap on gas cylinders”assured the president of the bloc, Dario Martinez“This decision will directly affect those who are already in a precarious situation due to not having access to gas from the grid. It is unacceptable that in a province that leads in gas production, so many families continue without this essential service,” added the former Secretary of Energy of the Nation.
