“I’m still blown away,” says Alexander Klaws after the birth of his third son.
Singer Alexander Klaws (41) now has three sons – and is “still out of sorts” after the birth of baby number three in August: This is what the winner of the first “DSDS” season revealed.
“A very, very nice time”
He continued to stress that he was “incredibly proud” and was happy: “Everyone is healthy. Mom is doing great, the child is doing well. And that is the most important thing of all.” However, he has not had much time with his son Lion and his two older offspring, Lenny and Flynn, because he is on stage as Winnetou at the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg until September 8th. “I am even happier when I come home in the evening and have a little worm on my chest again. So it is a very, very nice time right now.”
The musician had actually already finished with having more children, as he laughed: “Well, I threw a party when I was allowed to throw away the diaper pail. Yes, it’s now back where it was before.” In that respect, the family is “starting from scratch again”.
Relieved that he was able to be there at the birth
At the end of August, Klaws and his wife announced the happy news via Instagram. “We are absolutely in love and infinitely grateful that our little Lion is healthy and happy and completes our ‘wild Klaws bunch’,” the post says.
Because of his engagement in Bad Segeberg, it was uncertain whether the singer would be able to experience the birth: “I was there, and that was my biggest fear. I mean, we really only have one cast here at Kalkberg, which is the best thing about it – no one is replaced, but the original cast always plays here. They are then on stage in every show here.” That’s why it was a problem “to start the season so heavily pregnant.”
That’s why he “prayed to Manitou every day” and spoke to the little one in his belly. “And he listened to me. So it worked.”
Married since 2019
Klaws has been married to Nadja Scheiwiller (39) since 2019; the two met in 2010 during joint rehearsals for the musical “Tarzan”. The 41-year-old became known as the winner of the very first season of the RTL casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” in 2003.
