Social Monotributo: the Government detected more than 62,000 irregularities

In his usual press conference at the Casa Rosada, the presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni reported that a survey carried out on the list of registered voters ANSES social single tax detected 62,000 cases with serious irregularities that cost all taxpayers billions of pesos per month.

In line with this, he recalled that The ANSES website will be available for re-registration until September 30 of those who receive a social program, an initiative that will allow a monthly saving of 7 million pesos. “Putting the accounts in order and taking care of taxpayers’ money is an obligation that President Milei has with all Argentines,” he stressed.

The portfolio headed by Sandra Pettovello reported that the latest survey showed that the program was not being well implemented: less than 10% of the holders invoice for their activities and 62,051 beneficiaries have incompatibilities with the Social Monotributo Law, among other inconsistencies.

In this context, they decided to re-register all beneficiaries to cancel benefits due to incompatibilities, “which will allow for savings of more than 711 million pesos per month in public spending,” according to Capital Humano.

In turn, social self-employed workers who are included in social programs will begin to pay, starting in October, 50 percent of the cost of the social security (6,900 pesos) for the holder and for each of his/her members. In this way, the Government will save more than 7.2 billion pesos per month.

Monotributo social: how to re-register

Throughout the month, beneficiaries of social programs who have the Social Monotribute will have to re-register.

To carry out this procedure through ANSES must enter the site argentina.gob.ar/monotributosocial/terminos-y-conditions-reempadronamiento.

What is the Social Monotribute

The Social Monotribute is a tax regime intended for sectors of low income. From their contribution, beneficiaries can access their social work, issue invoices and retire.

The Government stressed that the re-registration will allow for the real universe of social self-employed taxpayers and will allow the tool to be used for the purpose for which it was created.
