Adele published her own gossip magazine in Munich, complete with funny headlines. Now she shared the issues on Instagram.
Anyone who has not had the pleasure of experiencing one of Adele’s (36) ten concerts in Munich live has missed not only a breathtaking show but also a special detail: During her mini-residence in the Bavarian capital, the singer published her very own gossip magazine every week and distributed it in the “Adele World”.
Adele shared some of the headlines and articles she published in “The Saturn Times” and also explained the background of the project. “After years of enduring the tabloids, I decided to join in and create my own for the shows in Munich,” wrote the 36-year-old.
Singer jokes about her engagement
In the first article Adele wrote after the August 2 and 3 shows, for example, a photo of the singer on a bicycle in front of the stage reads: “Days before opening night, Adele was seen cycling through Adele World as she prepared for the shows in Munich. Dressed all in black and white sneakers, the London-born singer made sure to stay safe and responsibly wore a helmet. A source said: ‘She was laughing her ass off while everyone else was hard at work.'”
“I swear it was my highlight every week, writing and creating these every Sunday after the shows… I think I missed my true calling!” jokes Adele, summing up: “A friendly poke at myself! It really is so much fun to write absolute nonsense.” The singer added an emoji of the planet Saturn, for “The Saturn Times”, – probably a reference to her Saturn tattoo on her arm.
On the second weekend, Adele posted an article about the rainy weather forecast, as well as an “Editor’s Note” advising fans not to stand on chairs during the concert and to “be nice to each other.” In another article, the singer jokes about the news of her engagement: “After sending her fans into a nervous breakdown by announcing she’s engaged for the 100th time this year, the blonde singer spotted precious moments in the crowd.” Apparently, several couples in the audience got engaged that weekend.
Adele announces world record
In the last issue of her “Saturn Times”, Adele announced in a “World Exclusive” that she had broken a world record: “It’s official! Adele’s giant screen in Munich has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the largest screen at an outdoor concert EVER. In an interview with ‘Saturn Times’, Adele said: ‘Oh my God. I can’t believe it! Of all the screens in the world! What are the chances that this one will set a new record?'”
In addition, Adele introduced a member of her team every week in a “Spotlight” republic. In the last edition of her gossip magazine, she also addressed a few German words to her fans: “Munich, thank you for welcoming me so warmly to your beautiful city,” wrote Adele.
The newspapers have long since become collector’s items among the singer’s fans. One user on the eBay sales platform is offering two copies of the paper for the proud price of 120 euros.
