At New York Fashion Week in the Hamptons, a special guest took the event to a new level: the First Lady.
The fashion company Ralph Lauren was pleased to welcome a particularly prominent guest at the catwalk show of the spring 2025 collection on Thursday: Dr. Jill Biden (73) paid a visit to the start of New York Fashion Week in the Hamptons.
The First Lady was dressed in an elegant black pantsuit with a square neckline and a sparkling brooch. She was accompanied by Hunter Biden’s (54) daughter, Finnegan Biden (23). During the event, Jill Biden met celebrities from various categories such as “Vogue” editor-in-chief Anna Wintour (74), actor Tom Hiddleston (43) and singer Usher (45).
The Bidens are big Ralph Lauren fans
The Bidens are apparently great admirers of the American fashion designer Ralph Lauren (67): President Joe Biden (81) even wore the brand during his inauguration in 2021. And the First Lady was dressed by the designer just last month at the Democratic Party Convention. Naomi Biden (30), the president’s granddaughter, even commissioned Lauren to design her wedding dress for her wedding in the White House in 2022.
The Bidens are apparently not alone in their admiration. Other celebrities who attended the show were Naomi Watts (55), Laura Dern (57), Cole Sprouse (32), Joey King (25), Colman Domingo (54), Jude Law (51), Justin Theroux (53). Supermodel Naomi Campbell (54) and colleague Christy Turlington (55) were seen on the catwalk. Jeans with a used look, airy linen and crochet dresses and elaborately decorated evening gowns were presented.
A few hours later: Fashion demo
Just one day later, Dr. Jill Biden and Anna Wintour saw each other again – this time at the “Fashion for our Future” demonstration, where numerous designers, models, influencers, students and employees of the clothing industry and retail called on people to vote.
