Oscar winner Nicole Kidman (57) asked for the blessing of fellow actress Naomi Watts (55) to play a married couple with her ex-partner Liev Schreiber (56). “We always check with each other, we’re best friends,” Watts told the industry portal “Entertainment Weekly”.
Schreiber and Kidman play husband and wife in the new Netflix series “A New Summer.” Schreiber was together with Watts for many years and has two children with her.
In a joint interview for “Entertainment Tonight” he said to Kidman about their roles as spouses: “I heard a story that you first asked Naomi if it was okay,” to which Kidman confirmed with “of course!” “Isn’t that amazing?” Schreiber then said. “The two of them are that close.”
