People: Beyoncé: Private life should not become a marketing product

Many superstars do a lot for fame. Not so Beyoncé. Her schedule is based on her family, says the 43-year-old musician and mother of three.

US superstar Beyoncé (43, “Crazy In Love”) says she is very careful when it comes to protecting her private life. “One thing that I attach great importance to and that I am actively working on is to give my children as much normality and privacy as possible. That’s why I make sure that my private life does not become a marketing product,” the singer and actress said in an interview with “GQ” magazine (October issue).

It’s very easy for celebrities to turn their lives into performance art, but she tried very hard to stay true to her own boundaries and protect herself and her family. “No amount of money in the world is worth my peace.”

The mother of three said her schedule is based on her family. “I try to only travel when my children are at school.” She only works on things that give her a feeling of liberation, Beyoncé continued. Fame sometimes feels like a “prison” to her. “So if you don’t see me on red carpets and I disappear until I have art to share with the world, that’s why.”
