The text was published after a summit in the Federal Investment Council (CFI), where provincial leaders and representatives of the 23 districts of the country participated, with the exception of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, which is not part of the organization. At the rally, its current head, the Peronist, was unanimously re-elected Ignacio Lamothe.
Governors demand from the Nation for transfers and public works
Once the event was over, the leaders shared the letter on their social networks. In it, they ask the Nation for “the fulfillment of current transfers and debts corresponding to non-transferred funds, and the distribution of the Transport Compensation Fund, which is specifically financed through the Fuel Tax and which, however, has been interrupted.”
At the same time, they warn about the 2025 Budget bill, which President Milei will present this Sunday before the National Congress.

“The Argentine provinces advocate for a more equitable distribution of shared resources between the Nation and the provinces and will seek appropriate instruments to be able to meet their responsibilities, as established by the National Constitution, with the corresponding resources,” they said.
In the same vein, governors across the country requested “compliance with respect to the financing and/or execution of public works in provincial territories.”
Governors’ Summit at the Federal Investment Council
This Tuesday, leaders and representatives of the country’s 23 provinces met at the CFI, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Retiro, to renew their authorities. The election was called by the president pro tempore of the Assembly, the man from Formosa Gildo Insfran.
In addition to him, the Cambiemitas participated in the conclave Maximilian Pullaro (Santa Fe), Marcelo Orrego (Saint John), Ignacio Torres (Chubut), Gustavo Valdes (Corrientes), Alfredo Cornejo (Mendoza), Leandro Zdero (Chaco), Rogelio Frigerio (Entre Rios), Carlos Sadir (Jujuy) and Claudio Poggi (Saint Louis).

For Peronism, they were present Axel Kicillof (Buenos Aires), Ricardo Quintela (Rioja), Gerardo Zamora (Santiago del Estero), Sergio Ziliotto (The Pampas), Gustavo Melella (Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands), Raul Jalil (Catamarca), Osvaldo Jaldo (Tucumán) and the already mentioned Insfrán.
The provincialists were also there Gustavo Saenz (Jump), Claudio Vidal (Santa Cruz) and Alberto Weretilneck (Black River).
After several attempts by JxC to come up with a unified candidate to contest the leadership of the CFI, the yellows finally gave up, since they did not have the necessary votes to win the contest and ended up closing ranks with the current incumbent, Ignacio Lamothe, who will remain at the helm until 2028.
