The Jedi Knight took not only his wife, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead (39), with him to the unveiling, but also four of his five children.
McGregor thanks his children
In his acceptance speech, McGregor also emphasized how much his children mean to him. It is a privilege for him to be Clara’s father, with whom McGregor recently appeared in front of the camera for the film drama “Bleeding Love.” Seeing “her passion and enthusiasm for what we do” has “re-inspired” the 53-year-old. His daughter Esther (22) is also currently in front of the camera for filming in Canada, which is why she was unable to attend the unveiling of her father’s star, said McGregor.
His youngest daughter Anouk (13) is still too young for a career as an actress, the “Star Wars” actor continued in his acceptance speech. Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have been married since April 2022. Their son Laurie was born in June 2021. McGregor’s other four children come from a previous relationship with Frenchwoman Eve Mavrakis (58), with whom the actor was married from 1995 to 2017. Together, the couple adopted daughters Jamyan and Anouk.
In an interview in April 2021, McGregor stated that his children are his “everything.” Therefore, after separating from his first wife, the actor withdrew from work for almost ten months to be there for his children.
