Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman have found each other again 27 years after “Batman & Robin,” as a picture on Instagram shows.
Arnold Schwarzenegger (77) and Uma Thurman (54) celebrated a special reunion. In 1997, the two were seen together in the film “Batman & Robin”. on Instagram a selfie of himself and Thurman and wrote: “Freeze and Ivy, reunited. Watch out, Batman.” Numerous fans commented on the picture with joy: “My childhood. Okay, now please put on the costumes,” the post reads, among other things.
Instead of their film outfits, Schwarzenegger and Thurman appeared in casual looks in the photo. The “Terminator” star wore a black shirt, his colleague a light-colored knitted sweater. The photo appears to have been taken in a restaurant.
George Clooney is embarrassed by the film today
“Batman & Robin” by director Joel Schumacher (1939-2020) was not well received by critics when it was released 27 years ago. The film was not a big success at the box office either. And that was despite the fact that the film featured other big stars besides Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman: George Clooney (63) played Batman, Chris O’Donnell (54) was in the role of Robin, Alicia Silverstone (47) as Batgirl and Michael Gough (1916-2011) as Alfred Pennyworth.
George Clooney has openly expressed his dislike for the film time and again. He even joked that he didn’t want his wife Amal Clooney (46) to see the film. In 2019, Clooney also told “The Hollywood Reporter” that his “failure” in “Batman & Robin” influenced how he made career decisions. “I wasn’t good in it, it wasn’t a good film,” he said at the time, adding: “From that failure, I learned that I had to relearn how to work. I was no longer just an actor who got a role, I was being held responsible for the film.”
