When we talk about an increase, we have to multiply it by 8 million. If you don’t have the money, you get it from somewhere else, generating inflation,” he said, defending the veto.
However, he pointed out the problem with retirees: “The problem with pensions is that they do not buy anything. There is a vice in Argentine politics which is to legislate without considering the consequences.”
