- Health: 100% coverage of rehabilitation benefits (medications, equipment, treatments) required in relation to what was certified as a disability.
- Transport: free transfers on public land transport.
- Family allowances: annual school aid for a child with a disability, family allowance for a child with a disability, allowance for a spouse with a disability.
- Other procedures: exemption from payment of tolls, taxes (municipal, patents, among others). In these cases, the exemption must be requested from the enforcement authority of each regulation.
- International symbol of access: free parking, in permitted places, regardless of the vehicle you travel in.
Who can get it and where to manage it
To access the CUD, people must go to the Disability areas of their municipalities where they will have to complete a series of requirements to apply for it. One and fundamental is present medical studies that support the disability to be evaluated by an interdisciplinary board who will determine whether or not to issue it.
What disabilities are included in the CUD?

How long is the CUD valid for?
In the month of January, the Secretariat for Disabilitybelonging to the Ministry of Public Healthrecalled that the validity of the Single Disability Certificate had been extended and reported until when it is valid.
At that time, the authorities indicated that the validity goes from the January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024according to the maturity indicated in each CUD. In this way, the certificates that expired or expire during the current year will continue to be valid.

From the National Disability Agency They released news about this and explained that if the update date of the CUD is framed in one of the current extensions: 1919/21, 806/22, 186/23 and 1907/2023the update can be processed without waiting for the extension end date at the Evaluation Board closest to the home of the person requesting it.
They also pointed out that if the Single Disability Certificate If you did not enter into any of the current extensions, you only have to wait for the assigned update date to request a new appointment.
